Broward authorities offer up to five thousand dollars reward for information leading to arrest in unincorporated central Broward homicide

Broward County, Florida – Detectives with the Broward Sheriff’s Office Homicide Unit are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying and locating those responsible for the fatal shooting of 35-year-old Nathaniel Forrest. A Broward Crime Stoppers reward of up to $5,000 is being offered for information that leads to an arrest.

The shooting occurred at approximately 9:42 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 19, near the 900 block of Northwest 24th Avenue in unincorporated central Broward. According to investigators, deputies responded to a ShotSpotter alert in the area. On arrival, they found Forrest suffering from an apparent gunshot wound and immediately began performing life-saving measures.

Forrest was transported by Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue to Broward Health Medical Center, where he was later pronounced deceased. Investigators have not released any information regarding a possible motive or suspect description, citing the ongoing nature of the investigation.

Authorities are asking anyone with knowledge of the incident or information about potential suspects to come forward. “Detectives are asking anyone with information on the shooting or subject(s) involved to contact Det. Kevin White at 954-321-4215 or submit a tip through the SaferWatch App,” a BSO spokesperson said.

Individuals who wish to remain anonymous can reach out to Broward Crime Stoppers directly at 954-493-TIPS (8477), online at browardcrimestoppers.org, or by dialing **TIPS (8477) from any U.S. cellphone. Tips that result in an arrest are eligible for a reward of up to $5,000.

This tragic incident has raised concerns within the community, with neighbors and residents expressing shock at the violence in the area. Law enforcement officials emphasized that public cooperation is crucial to solving the case and ensuring community safety.
