West Palm Beach City Hall, Mandel Public Library and Grassy Waters Nature Center will be closed for Presidents Day
West Palm Beach, Florida – West Palm Beach residents are being reminded that several city facilities will be closed on Monday, February 16, 2026, in observance of Presidents Day. City Hall, the Mandel Public Library, and the Grassy Waters Nature Center will all pause operations for the holiday, while regular trash and garbage collection will continue as scheduled.
City officials noted that the closures are part of the city’s standard holiday observances, allowing staff and the public alike to honor Presidents Day. “Regular trash and garbage pickup services will be provided,” the city stated, ensuring that residents’ essential services remain uninterrupted even during the holiday.
Following the holiday, normal operations will resume on Tuesday, February 17. City Hall and the Grassy Waters Nature Center will reopen at 8 a.m., while the Mandel Public Library will welcome visitors starting at 9:30 a.m. Residents planning to visit any of these facilities are encouraged to note the revised schedule to avoid inconvenience.
Additionally, the Mayor and City Commission will hold their regular meeting on Tuesday, February 17, at 5 p.m. in the City Commission Chambers. The meeting will continue as planned, giving the public the opportunity to stay engaged with city decisions and initiatives immediately following the holiday closure.
For those needing assistance or more information during the holiday, the City of West Palm Beach encourages residents to contact city offices at (561) 822-1200, with TTY users able to reach staff at 800-955-8771. Further details about city services, programs, and updates can also be found on the official city website at wpb.org.
The Presidents Day closures provide a brief pause for city staff while maintaining essential services like waste collection, and residents are reminded to plan their visits to City Hall, the library, or the nature center accordingly. By keeping these services in mind, the community can continue to enjoy access to city resources without disruption while celebrating the holiday.
Whether visiting City Hall for administrative needs, checking out a book from the Mandel Public Library, or enjoying the outdoors at Grassy Waters Nature Center, residents should be aware of the temporary closure and the return to normal hours on Tuesday. The city emphasizes that despite the holiday, essential services and civic engagement opportunities, such as the City Commission meeting, remain available.
