Davie, Florida – The Town of Davie is excited to announce the return of its popular annual Touch-a-Truck event on Saturday, May 3, 2025, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Bergeron Rodeo Grounds, located at 4201 Rodeo Way. This family-friendly event is set to provide an exciting opportunity for children and families to get up close and personal with a wide range of trucks and heavy machinery, making for an unforgettable day of exploration and hands-on learning.

Touch-a-Truck has become a beloved tradition in Davie, offering a fun and educational experience for children of all ages. This year, the event will feature an impressive collection of vehicles, including fire engines, construction trucks, sanitation vehicles, and more. These large machines, which are essential to the daily operations of the town, will be on display for children to explore, climb into, and discover the inner workings of the machinery that helps keep Davie running smoothly. Local professionals who operate these vehicles will be on hand to answer questions and share insights into the vital services these trucks provide to the community.

In a thoughtful gesture for those with sensory sensitivities, the event will kick off with a horn-free, sensory-friendly hour from 9 to 10 a.m. This time will allow children who may be sensitive to loud noises a quieter, more comfortable experience as they interact with the trucks and machinery. The rest of the event will remain loud and lively, but this dedicated hour ensures everyone has the chance to enjoy the fun.

A live DJ will be spinning tunes to keep the energy high, and there will be free kids’ activities to entertain the younger crowd. The event is designed to keep families engaged and entertained for hours.

Food and beverages will be available for purchase throughout the event. While outside food and beverages will not be permitted, the on-site vendors will ensure there’s something delicious for everyone to enjoy. With the beautiful weather of early May, it’s the perfect time to bring the whole family out for a morning of fun in the sun.

Admission to Touch-a-Truck is free, making it an affordable outing for families to enjoy together. Whether your child is fascinated by fire trucks or simply loves big machines, this event is sure to leave everyone with a smile.
