Pompano Beach, Florida – On Tuesday, July 15th, the City of Pompano Beach will officially open its new Broward Sheriff’s Office Substation with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. The event will take place at 10:00 a.m. at the facility’s new location at 441 NW 27th Avenue. This marks a significant milestone in the city’s ongoing efforts to improve public safety and strengthen the relationship between law enforcement and the local community.

The new substation, spanning 2,750 square feet, represents a vital investment in the city’s safety infrastructure. The facility is strategically positioned in an area that has previously faced challenges related to unlawful activity. The city aims to reduce crime and improve neighborhood security by providing law enforcement with a more accessible, modern, and well-equipped base of operations.

Construction on the substation began in April of 2024, with a budget of $2.1 million. The project is part of the city’s broader commitment to creating safer environments for residents, businesses, and visitors. The new station will serve as a hub for the Broward Sheriff’s Office, enhancing response times and offering a strong visible presence in the area.

“This state-of-the-art facility is a clear demonstration of the City’s unwavering commitment to making every neighborhood safer and more secure,” said city officials. The ribbon-cutting ceremony will be a moment to celebrate the collective progress that has been made in the pursuit of safer streets and stronger community relationships.
