Fort Lauderdale, Florida – In a move that is set to transform the way schools manage sponsorships, the Broward Education Foundation (BEF) has partnered with SponsorPlace, an innovative platform designed to streamline sponsorship management for K-12 schools. This pioneering collaboration is the first of its kind in the United States, making Broward County Public Schools (BCPS) the first district in the nation to adopt this comprehensive system. The initiative aims to elevate the level of support for a variety of school programs, including athletics, performing arts, PTAs, and special events, by connecting schools with local businesses more efficiently.

The partnership introduces a platform that enables BCPS to engage with the business community in a more transparent and accessible way. By providing schools across the district with a turnkey solution to manage sponsorships, the program aims to reduce the administrative burden on school staff and unlock new revenue streams. According to the Broward Education Foundation, the collaboration will support all schools within the district, regardless of their size or location, offering them equal access to valuable sponsorship opportunities.

Dr. Howard Hepburn, Superintendent of Broward County Public Schools, expressed his enthusiasm for the initiative, highlighting its potential to strengthen community engagement. “The SponsorPlace initiative represents a vital opportunity to foster greater engagement between local businesses, the educational community, and the students of Broward County,” he said. “We believe in the power of community collaboration to improve educational outcomes and are excited to play a role in ensuring every student in Broward County can reach their full potential.”

Empowering Schools and Businesses Alike

SponsorPlace, developed by Campus Multimedia, a leader in K-12 brand activation, offers a scalable and user-friendly solution designed to simplify the sponsorship process for schools. The platform is not only easy to use but also provides unprecedented oversight and transparency, ensuring that schools can efficiently manage their partnerships with local businesses. It allows schools to attract sponsors, negotiate deals, and track sponsorships all within one centralized platform.

James A. Knapp, President & CEO of the Broward Education Foundation, spoke about the platform’s impact on the district. “SponsorPlace has elevated the way we approach strategic partnerships and resource development across Broward County,” he said. “This new platform empowers schools with the autonomy they need, while giving district leaders structure and transparency to build trust and deliver an impact.”

By enabling schools to take control of their sponsor relationships while maintaining district-level oversight, SponsorPlace creates a unique balance between local autonomy and centralized management. The system alleviates the administrative workload for school staff, enabling them to dedicate more time to students and educational programs, and giving them the ability to attract new sponsors in a more efficient and organized manner.

A Seamless Bridge Between Schools and Businesses

One of the standout features of the SponsorPlace platform is its ability to serve as a bridge between local businesses and the schools that need their support. The platform opens up new avenues for sponsorship that might have previously been inaccessible due to time or resource constraints. Local businesses that want to support their communities can now easily connect with schools in a meaningful way, and schools can generate the funding needed to run essential programs and events.

“Schools need funding to run strong programs, but finding support takes time and resources many districts just don’t have,” said Karl Mawhinney, CEO of Campus Multimedia. “Meanwhile, local businesses want to support schools and be seen in their communities. SponsorPlace bridges that gap—making it easy to create measurable, meaningful sponsorships that benefit everyone.”

Success Story: South Plantation High School

South Plantation High School (SPHS) has already seen the benefits of the SponsorPlace platform firsthand. By using the system, the school was able to generate revenue quickly without resorting to traditional and time-consuming outreach methods. SPHS created a digital “storefront” that allowed local businesses to browse and purchase sponsorship opportunities directly from the platform. The school also utilized a QR code printed on school maps at Parent Night, making it easy for families and businesses to access their SponsorPlace page instantly.

The school’s efforts led to tangible results. SPHS was able to sell three carline banner ads with zero outreach, effectively turning everyday moments into revenue. “We love our SponsorPlace page. It’s easy to track money coming in, and it’s exciting every time we see another sale,” said Ricardo Marino, Assistant Principal of Western High School, formerly South Plantation High School.

Looking Ahead: A Bright Future for Broward Schools

The launch of this partnership marks a significant step forward for Broward County Public Schools in their efforts to generate new funding and strengthen relationships with local businesses. With the SponsorPlace platform, schools across the district now have the tools they need to engage their communities in new and innovative ways. Whether it’s through athletics, performing arts, or other educational initiatives, the possibilities for sponsorship are limitless.

The Broward Education Foundation and SponsorPlace partnership is more than just a business solution; it is a testament to the power of community collaboration and the positive impact that can be achieved when schools, businesses, and local leaders come together. As the platform continues to roll out across the district, its potential to revolutionize school sponsorships is undeniable, offering a blueprint for other districts nationwide to follow.

By bringing businesses and schools closer together, the program promises to create lasting benefits for students, educators, and the entire community. With greater engagement and increased resources, the future of Broward County Public Schools looks brighter than ever.
