Fort Lauderdale, Florida – In an effort to support South Florida residents navigating a tough job market, Van Horn Law Group is opening its doors to the public for a free Professional Development Day on Saturday, September 13, 2025. The event, set to take place at the firm’s Fort Lauderdale office, will offer a range of career-focused resources designed to help job seekers sharpen their professional edge.

Attendees will have access to services that include resume critiques, career coaching, LinkedIn profile reviews, and professional headshots—all provided at no cost. In addition to these tools, the event will offer networking opportunities, giveaways, and complimentary food in a casual and supportive environment.

“We know how tough the job market has been for so many people in our community,” said Chad Van Horn, Founder and Managing Partner of Van Horn Law Group. “We wanted to create a space where anyone whether they’re a client, a neighbor, or just someone trying to get back on their feet can access tools that make a real difference in their job search.”

The Professional Development Day will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Van Horn Law Group’s office, located at 500 NE 4th Street in Fort Lauderdale. The event is completely free and open to the public, regardless of profession, background, or employment status.

Van Horn Law Group, known for its focus on bankruptcy and financial relief services, has built a reputation for community engagement. This event continues that mission by addressing the real-world struggles many people face as they try to find work or transition to new careers.

For many job seekers, small things like an updated resume or a quality headshot can make a major difference. Professional headshots, in particular, are often costly or out of reach for those who are unemployed or underemployed. LinkedIn profile reviews and one-on-one coaching can also provide critical insights that help applicants stand out in today’s competitive job landscape.

By offering these services for free, the firm hopes to remove barriers and empower individuals to take the next step in their careers. More than just a job fair, the event is designed to foster community and encourage meaningful connections among professionals and neighbors alike.

Whether someone is re-entering the workforce, switching industries, or just starting out, the Professional Development Day promises practical tools and a welcoming environment to help them move forward.
