Pembroke Pines, Florida – Broward County Public Schools (BCPS) is calling on local businesses to take part in its second annual Matchmaker Event, a unique initiative designed to connect companies with partnership, volunteer, and sponsorship opportunities that directly benefit students and schools across the district. The event will take place on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Southwest Regional Library, located at 16835 Sheridan Street in Pembroke Pines.

Organized by BCPS’s Strategic Partnerships and Economic Development Opportunities & Compliance Departments, the Matchmaker Event aims to foster stronger connections between the business community and school district leadership. Attendees will have a chance to meet with School Board Members, BCPS Superintendent Dr. Howard Hepburn, and other district administrators, offering a rare opportunity to engage with key decision-makers in education.

“Local businesses play a crucial role in supporting our students and schools,” said Dr. Hepburn. “The Matchmaker Event provides a platform for companies to learn about ways they can make a meaningful impact while also showcasing their own services and initiatives.”

“Partnering with our schools is not just about giving back—it’s about building long-lasting relationships that benefit everyone involved,” said a BCPS spokesperson. “Through this event, we hope to inspire meaningful collaborations that enrich the learning experience and strengthen the community as a whole.”
