Pine Crest, Florida – Pine Crest School is breaking new ground in global research and innovation with the launch of an ambitious two-year partnership with the London School of Economics (LSE) Global School of Sustainability and LSE Generate. This collaboration will focus on longevity, healthy aging, and the future of work, placing Pine Crest students at the forefront of international exploration into some of humanity’s most pressing questions.

The partnership kicks off with an immersive trip to Tokyo, Japan, where students enrolled in Pine Crest’s three-year Social Entrepreneurship Program will engage in hands-on research. Their focus will center on two critical questions: “How do we live longer?” and “What can we learn from those who have lived the longest?” During the trip, students will explore long-living communities, including the famed Blue Zones, as part of an Intergenerational AI and Innovation Research Sprint. The experience is designed to examine how culture, environment, neuroscience, technology, and social connection influence lifespan, well-being, and human potential.

In preparation for their fieldwork, Pine Crest students spent the fall semester engaging in intensive seminars, guided readings, and training in advanced AI platforms for data collection and qualitative research. Faculty and researchers from LSE provided mentorship, ensuring students are equipped with both the theoretical background and practical tools needed to analyze complex information and develop evidence-based insights.

“This partnership places our students at the center of a global research and entrepreneurship network spanning the United Kingdom, United States, Brazil, Portugal, Spain, the Philippines, and beyond,” said Pine Crest officials. The initiative not only provides students with a global perspective on aging and longevity but also offers hands-on experience in creating ventures designed to address real-world challenges.

The research sprint will culminate at the Global Futures Forum in Japan, where students will present original ventures focused on healthy aging and life longevity. These projects are expected to combine rigorous research, AI-powered analysis, and innovative social entrepreneurship, demonstrating how interdisciplinary approaches can yield tangible solutions to complex societal issues.

By participating in this international collaboration, Pine Crest students are developing the skills and perspectives needed to become thoughtful, forward-thinking problem solvers. The school emphasizes globally connected, research-driven, and purpose-filled learning, preparing students not only to understand the challenges of the modern world but also to take active roles in shaping solutions for the future.

As Pine Crest expands its global partnerships and research initiatives, students gain unparalleled access to international networks, cutting-edge technology, and mentorship from leading experts. The Tokyo trip represents just the beginning of a larger vision: equipping the next generation with the knowledge, tools, and perspective to address global challenges while promoting health, longevity, and human potential.
