Davie, Florida -The Town of Davie has announced a temporary closure of the Pine Island pool at the Davie Aquatic Center due to ongoing cold weather conditions affecting the community. The pool, located at 3800 SW 92nd Avenue, will be closed starting Sunday, January 31, and is scheduled to reopen Monday morning, February 2, 2026, at 10 a.m.

Officials said the closure is a precautionary measure to ensure the safety and comfort of swimmers during the unusually cold temperatures. Residents who had planned to visit the pool over the weekend will need to adjust their schedules, but staff emphasized that the closure is temporary and part of the town’s ongoing efforts to maintain safe aquatic facilities.

While the pool will be closed, the Aquatic Center’s fitness center will remain open with normal operating hours. Monday through Friday, the fitness center is available from 5 a.m. to 8:45 p.m., and on Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., giving residents an opportunity to continue their workouts even while the pool is unavailable.

By temporarily closing the pool during cold weather, the town aims to prevent potential health risks and maintain a safe environment for all users.

Residents are encouraged to continue using the fitness center and other available recreational resources during the closure, ensuring they can maintain their exercise routines while waiting for the pool to reopen. The Town of Davie remains committed to providing safe, accessible, and enjoyable recreational facilities for all community members.
