Broward County, Florida – Broward County Public Schools is preparing to roll out the red carpet for one of its most anticipated annual celebrations, as educators, leaders and community members gather to honor excellence across the District at the 2026 Caliber Awards.

The prestigious ceremony will take place on Friday, February 6, 2026, at the Broward County Convention Center in Fort Lauderdale. The evening begins with dinner at 5 p.m., followed by the formal awards program from 6 to 9 p.m. School Board members, the BCPS Superintendent, district staff, students and invited guests are expected to fill the venue for a night that shines a spotlight on dedication, innovation and impact in public education.

Often described as a signature event for the District, the Caliber Awards recognize teachers, principals, assistant principals and school and district employees who go above and beyond in their roles. These honorees are celebrated for igniting curiosity in classrooms, inspiring lifelong learning and helping shape the next generation of leaders throughout Broward County.

Throughout the evening, finalists will be recognized in several major categories, including Teacher of the Year, Principal of the Year, Assistant Principal of the Year, and School or District Employee of the Year. In total, 16 exceptional finalists across all categories will be honored before the ceremony reaches its most anticipated moment—the announcement of the 2026 Caliber Award winners.

More than just an awards program, the Caliber Awards serve as a public celebration of the people who make Broward County Public Schools one of the largest and most diverse school districts in the nation. The event highlights the behind-the-scenes dedication and daily commitment that help students thrive academically, socially and emotionally.

A standout feature of the evening is the recognition of the Teacher of the Year, made even more memorable through the continued generosity of the Rita and Rick Case Automotive Group. The Teacher of the Year will receive a Honda of choice with a paid two-year lease, along with cash and additional prizes. Other award recipients will also receive prizes in recognition of their achievements and service.

As the countdown begins, anticipation continues to build across Broward County. For many nominees and finalists, the evening represents not only personal achievement, but also a celebration of teamwork and the collective effort to support student success. The 2026 Caliber Awards promise to be a memorable night honoring the heart and soul of Broward County Public Schools.
