Betty Booth Roberts Park pool in Davie officially reopens for the summer season with extended hours and community access for families
Davie, Florida – Betty Booth Roberts Park is set to welcome back swimmers as its community pool officially reopens for the summer season, marking the return of one of the town’s most popular warm-weather gathering spots.
Located in Davie, Florida, the park pool will first open its gates on Saturday, May 23, 2026. The early schedule will focus on weekends and holiday operations, giving residents a chance to enjoy the facility in the opening stretch of the season.
During this initial phase, the pool will operate on select dates including Saturday, May 23, Sunday, May 24, Monday, May 25, Saturday, May 30, and Sunday, May 31. Each of these opening days will run from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., offering full-day access for families and visitors looking to cool off as temperatures rise across South Florida.
As the season continues, the schedule will expand significantly. Starting Thursday, June 4, 2026, the pool will transition into daily operations. It will remain open seven days a week from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Monday, August 10, 2026, providing consistent access during the peak summer months when demand is highest.
After that period, operations will scale back to weekend-only availability. The pool will continue to open on Saturdays and Sundays until the end of the season, with final closure scheduled for Labor Day on September 7, 2026.
Officials note that the pool remains one of several recreational amenities within Betty Booth Roberts Park, which continues to serve as a key community space for residents of all ages.
Daily admission fees remain affordable, helping ensure accessibility for families and individuals. Seniors will be charged $1, children $1.50, and adults $2 per visit, according to town officials.
Beyond the pool itself, the park offers a wide range of additional features designed for recreation and relaxation. Visitors can enjoy a shaded playground area, a swing set that includes ADA-accessible seating, and basketball courts for casual games and community activity.
The park also includes picnic shelters, walking trails, and outdoor fitness stations, making it a versatile location for both structured exercise and casual outdoor time. Town officials say these amenities are intended to support healthy lifestyles and encourage residents to spend more time outdoors.
While Betty Booth Roberts Park prepares for the busy summer season, another local aquatic facility will continue operating separately. The Pine Island Aquatic Center will remain open year-round with extended hours to accommodate swimmers throughout the week.
That facility operates Monday through Friday from 5 a.m. to 8 p.m., and on weekends from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Town officials note that hours may occasionally change depending on programming, maintenance needs, or seasonal adjustments.
Residents are encouraged to check for updates before visiting either aquatic facility, as schedules can shift during the season due to weather conditions, staffing, or special events.
For questions or additional information about pool operations, programs, or park amenities, the town’s Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Arts Department remains available to assist the public.
Community members can reach the department directly at 954-327-3927 for the most up-to-date details on schedules, fees, and recreational programming.
As summer approaches, officials say the reopening of Betty Booth Roberts Park pool is part of the town’s broader effort to provide accessible outdoor spaces where families can gather, stay active, and enjoy seasonal recreation in a safe and welcoming environment.
