Boca Raton, Florida – Two people were rushed to the hospital after gunfire erupted outside a Boca Raton restaurant in the early hours of Monday morning, turning a quiet night in the downtown area into an active police investigation. Authorities say the suspect fled the scene and has not yet been identified.

According to the Boca Raton Police Department, the shooting happened just after 12:30 a.m. outside Standard Cuisine & Cocktails, located at 187 SE Mizner Boulevard. The area is usually known for nightlife activity, but officers say the incident quickly escalated into chaos when shots were fired outside the venue.

Investigators confirmed that two adults were struck during the shooting. Emergency responders arrived within minutes and transported both victims to a nearby hospital. Officials have not released details about their current conditions, but confirmed they survived the initial incident and are receiving medical care.

What led up to the shooting is still unclear. Police have not shared any information about a possible motive, and it remains unknown whether the victims and the suspect knew each other or if the incident was random. Detectives spent the early morning hours collecting evidence at the scene, speaking with witnesses, and reviewing nearby surveillance footage in hopes of identifying the gunman.

Authorities say the suspect fled immediately after the shooting. No description has been confirmed publicly, and no arrests have been made so far. The investigation is still in its early stages, and officers are working through limited leads as they try to piece together what happened in the moments before and after the gunfire.

The Boca Raton Police Department is now asking the public for help. Anyone who may have seen the incident or has information related to the shooting is urged to contact investigators at (561) 982-4991. Even small details, officials say, could help move the case forward.

What began as an ordinary night outside a popular restaurant ended with flashing lights, emergency sirens, and two people fighting to recover in the hospital.

Police continue to search for answers as the suspect remains at large, and the motive behind the shooting has yet to be determined.
