Fort Lauderdale, Florida – Art lovers and curious passersby in Fort Lauderdale are being invited to step into a world where creativity never stands still. A new interactive installation by artist MJ Dowling is now drawing attention at the BBX Gallery, offering visitors an experience that changes with every glance and movement.

Unlike traditional paintings fixed in place, Dowling’s display uses independently mounted rotating canvases that continuously shift and transform. The result is a living artwork that evolves in real time, creating fresh combinations of color, shape, and perspective as viewers engage with it. The installation blends motion and imagination, encouraging people to look closer and discover something different each time they interact with the piece.

The exhibit has quickly become a conversation starter for visitors interested in immersive art experiences. Playful yet thoughtful, the moving canvases challenge the idea of static artwork and instead turn the audience into part of the creative process itself.

Meanwhile, community members recently had the opportunity to explore creativity in a more hands-on setting during the latest Art in the Workplace workshop hosted by local artist Melanie Keegan. Organized through BFA’s community arts initiative, the class focused on designing personalized terrariums, allowing participants to combine art with elements of nature.

Guests carefully assembled miniature gardens while experimenting with textures, plants, and decorative touches. The workshop created a relaxed atmosphere where attendees could express themselves artistically while learning new creative skills. For many participants, the event served as both a social gathering and a calming escape from daily routines.

The growing excitement around local arts programming is also building momentum for one of Fort Lauderdale’s biggest annual cultural events. The 8th Annual Art + Stroll is scheduled to return on November 12 in Downtown Las Olas, bringing together artists, performers, and visitors from across the area.

The event is expected to feature local fine art exhibitions, live entertainment, and cash prizes for participating artists. Organizers hope the celebration will once again transform the downtown district into a lively showcase of creativity, giving both emerging and established artists a chance to connect with the community.

With interactive exhibits, workshops, and large-scale public events all gaining attention, Fort Lauderdale’s art scene continues to expand in new and engaging directions.
