Pine Crest, Florida – A Pine Crest Upper School student-athlete has earned national recognition for her strong performance both in the classroom and on the court, joining an elite group of high school competitors honored across the United States.

Kaylee Foreman, a member of the Class of 2027 at Pine Crest School, has been selected for the 2026 National High School Coaches Association (NHSCA) Academic All-American Team. The award highlights student-athletes who manage to balance high academic achievement with competitive sports at a national level.

Foreman competes on the varsity girls volleyball team, where she has stood out not only for her athletic effort but also for her consistency as a student. Her nomination came through the National High School Coaches Association, which identified her as a top example of academic and athletic excellence.

This year’s selection carried added weight due to the level of competition. The NHSCA reported a record number of nominations from schools across the country, making the final list of honorees more competitive than ever. Students chosen for the recognition represent a wide range of sports, with athletes selected from 22 different disciplines.

The Academic All-American title is considered one of the most respected honors in high school athletics, largely because it does not focus only on performance in a single sport. Instead, it evaluates student-athletes on their ability to succeed in both education and competition, a balance that requires discipline, time management, and commitment throughout the school year.

According to the NHSCA, the program is designed to highlight students who demonstrate excellence in multiple areas of their lives. It celebrates those who maintain strong academic standing while also contributing meaningfully to their teams and athletic programs.

“The Academic All-American program celebrates student-athletes who exemplify dedication, discipline and excellence in all aspects of their educational and athletic pursuits.”

For Pine Crest School, Foreman’s selection reflects the broader culture of achievement the institution aims to promote among its students. Upper School athletes are encouraged to pursue both academic goals and athletic development, often balancing demanding schedules that include training sessions, competitions, and rigorous coursework.

While many student-athletes across the country compete at a high level, only a select group receives national recognition for maintaining excellence in both areas. Foreman’s inclusion on the 2026 list places her among that select group.

The recognition also comes during a year when high school athletics continue to grow more competitive nationwide, with increasing participation and higher expectations both in sports performance and academic achievement.

For Foreman, the honor marks a significant milestone early in her high school career, and for Pine Crest School, it adds another example of student success on a national stage.
