Four lottery tickets split jackpot prize with one winning ticket sold in Broward County
Fort Lauderdale, Florida – A Florida Lottery Fantasy 5 drawing on Thursday night created four separate winners across the state, with one of the lucky tickets purchased in Broward County and now set to share the top prize.
The winning jackpot, estimated at about $116,000, will be split evenly among four tickets that matched all five numbers in the July 2 evening drawing. Each winner will receive approximately $28,983 before taxes, according to the Florida Lottery.
The Broward County ticket was sold at Cypress Bend Liquor, located at 1000 S. Powerline Road in Pompano Beach. Along with it, three other winning tickets were purchased in different parts of Florida, including Inverness in Citrus County, Middleburg in Clay County, and Seffner in Hillsborough County.
The winning numbers drawn were 3, 17, 26, 29, and 31. Lottery officials noted that players had steep odds to overcome, with a 1-in-376,992 chance of matching all five numbers to secure the top prize. Despite those odds, four tickets managed to hit the combination in the same drawing.
While the jackpot drew attention across multiple counties, it was not the only notable Fantasy 5 win that day. A separate midday drawing also produced a high-value ticket, this one sold in Miami at a BJ’s Wholesale Club liquor store. That ticket won nearly $61,000 after matching its own set of winning numbers: 1, 4, 5, 10, and 23.
Lottery officials reminded players that all winners have 180 days from the date of the drawing to claim their prize. After that window closes, unclaimed winnings are typically returned to state programs supported by lottery revenue.
Fantasy 5 remains one of Florida’s most widely played daily lottery games, offering players multiple chances each day to win prizes ranging from smaller payouts to five-figure jackpots. Even when prizes are split among multiple winners, the game continues to draw steady participation across the state.

As with all lottery games, officials also included a reminder about responsible play. While many people can participate without issue, gambling can become harmful for some individuals and families. Support resources are available through the national gambling hotline at 1-800-522-4700 or via the National Council on Problem Gambling website for those who may need assistance.
For now, four separate tickets across Florida share in the latest Fantasy 5 success story, with one lucky purchase in Broward County helping to turn an ordinary lottery entry into a meaningful payout.
