Fort Lauderdale, Florida – The city is gearing up for the annual Tortuga Music Festival, set to take place from April 4-6, 2025, on Fort Lauderdale Beach. With thousands of music lovers expected to attend, local officials are advising residents and visitors to prepare for road closures, traffic delays, and transportation changes throughout the weekend.

The festival, which will be held at 1100 Seabreeze Boulevard, runs daily from approximately 12:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. A section of the beach will be designated exclusively for festival activities and will be unavailable for public use during the event.

Road Closures and Traffic Delays

Motorists traveling through Fort Lauderdale’s barrier island should anticipate heavy congestion, particularly on A1A and Seabreeze Boulevard. Additional traffic delays are expected along Southeast 17th Street and Las Olas Boulevard.

For each of the three festival nights, a temporary road closure will be enforced between 9:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. on both northbound and southbound lanes from Harbor Drive to SE 5th Street. This closure is designed to ensure the safe exit of concertgoers from the venue. During this time, all traffic south of East Las Olas Boulevard will be redirected northbound on A1A or westbound over the East Las Olas Boulevard bridge.

Limited Parking and Rideshare Services

Attendees should be aware that there will be no designated event parking for the festival. To ease congestion, visitors are strongly encouraged to utilize rideshare services or the Water Taxi for transportation to and from the venue.

Designated pick-up and drop-off locations for rideshare and taxi services will be available at Las Olas Oceanside Park (3000 E. Las Olas Boulevard) and the Harbor Drive loop. Drivers found picking up or dropping off passengers outside these designated areas risk incurring fines.

Plan Ahead for a Smooth Experience

With the influx of festivalgoers, city officials urge both residents and visitors to plan their routes ahead of time and allow for extra travel time. Businesses and residents in the affected areas should also prepare for increased foot traffic and potential delays.
