Derrell Ray purchased the lucky ticket at a Chevron gas station in Royal Palm Beach, located at 11711 Okeechobee Boulevard. Ray’s win is a remarkable moment, not just for him but also for the retailer who sold the winning ticket. Chevron will receive a $2,000 bonus commission as a reward for selling the top prize Scratch-Off ticket. This exciting win comes as part of the 50X THE CASH game, which launched in January 2024. The $5 ticket offers a chance to win one of 14 top prizes of $1 million, with over $145 million in total cash prizes up for grabs.

The 50X THE CASH game is part of a larger offering of Scratch-Off games from the Florida Lottery, which have proven to be a popular and lucrative category. In fact, Scratch-Off games account for roughly 74 percent of ticket sales in the fiscal year 2023-2024 alone. Since their inception, these games have awarded more than $65.5 billion in prizes, helped create 2,283 millionaires, and contributed over $19.8 billion to Florida’s Educational Enhancement Trust Fund (EETF).
