Pine Crest School celebrates three students for earning 2025 Pinnacle Awards for leadership and excellence

Pine Crest, Florida – Pine Crest School is celebrating the remarkable accomplishments of three standout students who have been selected to receive the 2025 Broward County Non-Public School Association Pinnacle Awards. The prestigious honor, given annually, recognizes students from across the county’s non-public schools who embody strong character, leadership, and a commitment to excellence in all areas of student life.
This year’s honorees from Pine Crest are Emilyn Cregg (Class of ’32), Luca Rusciano (Class of ’29), and Savanna Osei (Class of ’26). Each student was nominated based on their achievements in academics, athletics, the arts, citizenship, and community service, as well as their positive influence within the Pine Crest community.
“Congratulations, Emilyn, Luca and Savanna!” the school shared in a public announcement, applauding their contributions and dedication to the values the Pinnacle Awards seek to highlight.
Emilyn Cregg, the youngest of the three recipients, has made a big impression in Pine Crest’s Lower School. Known for her cheerful outlook and quiet determination, Emilyn is respected and admired by her peers and teachers alike. Her accomplishments stretch across many areas—she is a gifted academic, a skilled athlete who plays on three travel hockey teams (where she is the only female player on one), and a committed musician in the school’s orchestra. “Her kindness, determination and joyful spirit uplift those around her,” said one teacher. “She models integrity and compassion each day.”
In Middle School, Luca Rusciano has emerged as a thoughtful leader with a deep curiosity for the world around him. A participant in the Science Research program, he recently designed a project to study how changes to school cell phone policies affect student behavior—an idea that showcases both his innovative thinking and his interest in student life. “He leads with kindness and confidence,” his teachers say, “and is admired for his collaborative spirit and drive to make a difference.”
Upper School student Savanna Osei has likewise earned high praise for her well-rounded talents and her inspiring presence on campus. Described as creative, humble and driven, Savanna excels academically and is deeply engaged in the fine arts. Her teachers speak of her as someone who “leads by example and uplifts those around her.” She embraces challenges with enthusiasm and supports her peers with empathy and grace.
The Pinnacle Awards shine a light on students who not only achieve, but inspire others through their actions. In a school community that values integrity, kindness and perseverance, Emilyn, Luca and Savanna have set a high standard for what it means to be a role model.
As these three students continue their educational journeys, their recognition serves as a reminder of the powerful impact young people can have when they lead with heart and purpose.
