BSO detectives are asking the public for help in locating 29-year-old Yovam David McCook who has been reported missing from Central Broward

Broward County, Florida – The Broward Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in locating 29-year-old Yovam David McCook, who has been reported missing from unincorporated Central Broward. Detectives say McCook was last seen just after midnight on August 22, sparking an ongoing search by law enforcement.

According to officials, McCook was last observed at approximately 12:07 a.m. near the 2700 block of Northwest Seventh Street. Authorities are urging anyone who may have seen him or has information about his whereabouts to come forward immediately.

McCook is described as 6 feet 2 inches tall and weighing roughly 240 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes. At the time of his disappearance, he was wearing a khaki hoodie, black shorts, and white Nike sneakers. Investigators noted that McCook has a tattoo on his neck with the name Denise and a tattoo on his left forearm with the name Teresa, details that may help in identifying him.

“The Broward Sheriff’s Office Missing Persons Unit is actively working to locate Mr. McCook, and we are asking the community to assist in this search,” said Det. Leonard Charla. “Any information, no matter how small it may seem, could be critical in helping us find him.”

Members of the public who have information regarding McCook’s location are encouraged to contact Det. Charla directly at 954-321-4274. Alternatively, tips can be submitted through the BSO non-emergency number at 954-764-HELP (4357). Authorities emphasize that timely information is essential to ensure McCook’s safety and well-being.

The BSO continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding McCook’s disappearance and is coordinating with various units to expand the search in the Central Broward area. Officials are asking anyone who may have seen McCook in recent days to come forward, as community cooperation is a crucial component in locating missing individuals.
