Broward County, Florida – Detectives from the Broward Sheriff’s Office are asking the public for assistance in locating 39-year-old Sofia Carroll, who has been reported missing. Authorities say Carroll was last seen on Friday, October 31, around 8 p.m., in the 4300 block of Northwest 36th Way in Lauderdale Lakes.

Carroll is described as 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighing approximately 120 pounds, with grey and black hair and brown eyes. At the time of her disappearance, she was reportedly wearing a long grey dress, a red jacket, and white sandals.

“Detectives are actively working to locate Ms. Carroll, and any information from the community could be crucial to ensuring her safety,” said BSO officials. Authorities emphasized that public tips can play a key role in missing persons investigations, especially in cases where the individual may be at risk or in unfamiliar surroundings.

Anyone who has seen Carroll or has information about her whereabouts is urged to contact Detective Leonard Charla at 954-321-4274 or call the BSO non-emergency line at 954-764-HELP (4357). Detectives ask that callers provide as many details as possible, including recent sightings, interactions, or any activity that could help locate her.

The Broward Sheriff’s Office continues to urge residents to remain vigilant, particularly in the Lauderdale Lakes area, and to report anything unusual. Community awareness and cooperation are vital in helping authorities bring missing individuals home safely.

Residents are reminded to stay alert, check in with neighbors, and share information with law enforcement to assist in the safe return of Sofia Carroll.
