Broward County, Florida – Broward County Public Schools (BCPS) is set to host its highly anticipated Entrepreneurship Leadership Day on Thursday, November 13, 2025, at 9:30 a.m. The event will take place at the Marriott Coral Springs, located at 11775 Heron Bay Blvd., Coral Springs, and is designed to ignite creativity, innovation, and leadership skills among students across the district. By bringing together business leaders, student innovators, and national partners, the event aims to provide a hands-on experience that prepares students for the dynamic challenges of the modern global economy.

Entrepreneurship Leadership Day offers students an immersive experience, combining keynote presentations, industry-led workshops, and interactive sessions that emphasize real-world skills. The event seeks to help students strengthen their confidence, improve communication skills, and cultivate creative problem-solving abilities. Keynote speakers Ronit Schwartz, Chief Operating Officer, and Eddie Schwartz, Principal/Owner of Aryeh Strategic Partners, will share their personal entrepreneurial journeys, offering students valuable insights into building businesses, navigating challenges, and embracing opportunities.

A hallmark of the event is the student panel focused on entrepreneurship pathways, where attendees can hear directly from peers who are already exploring innovative projects and business ventures. Additionally, breakout challenges will give students the opportunity to collaborate in teams and apply entrepreneurial thinking to practical problems. One exciting highlight is a food-truck business competition, where students will work together to design, plan, and pitch their concepts. These activities provide students with a taste of the entrepreneurial process, encouraging creativity, critical thinking, and teamwork.

“Entrepreneurship Leadership Day empowers our students with the confidence, creativity and real-world skills needed to thrive in an ever-evolving global economy,” said BCPS Superintendent Dr. Howard Hepburn. “By connecting students with business leaders and role models, we are preparing them to lead and innovate.”

The initiative is part of a broader districtwide effort to expose students to future-ready skills and entrepreneurial thinking. BCPS has partnered with the Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship (NFTE) and Virtual Enterprises International (VE/VEI) to provide students with access to industry-standard resources and mentorship. These partnerships aim to help students envision entrepreneurial pathways and develop the knowledge and skills necessary to bring their ideas to life.

Events like Entrepreneurship Leadership Day play a critical role in encouraging students to think beyond the classroom and explore real-world applications of their education. By participating in workshops, listening to seasoned professionals, and engaging in competitive challenges, students gain hands-on experience that fosters creativity, resilience, and leadership. The emphasis on collaboration and innovation ensures that participants are not just learning about entrepreneurship in theory but are practicing the skills that will help them succeed in the workforce or as business owners.
