Broward County Public Schools brings students together for the 2025 Peace365 SAVE Rally promoting unity and nonviolence across the district
Broward County, Florida – Broward County Public Schools (BCPS) is preparing to shine a light on peace, unity, and student empowerment with the upcoming 2025 Peace365 SAVE Rally. The event, set to take place on Friday, November 14, 2025, will run from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Parkway Middle School in Lauderhill. Organized in collaboration with the City of Lauderhill, Commissioner Melissa P. Dunn, and Students Against Violence Everywhere (SAVE) Promise Clubs, the rally aims to inspire positive change by encouraging students to take the lead in building safer, more compassionate school environments.
Hundreds of students from nine BCPS schools are expected to gather for a day of high-energy, youth-driven activities designed to promote peace, positive decision-making, and conflict resolution. The event will feature student panel discussions, a symbolic peace walk, and a spirited “battle of the bands” between Stranahan High School and Boyd Anderson High School. Together, these moments of collaboration and creativity will highlight the power of young voices in shaping a culture of respect and understanding.
The Peace365 SAVE Rally is not just a one-day event—it’s part of a larger movement within BCPS to nurture leadership, empathy, and inclusion among students. “The Peace365 SAVE Rally emphasizes the importance of empowering and educating students to promote peace within their community and schools, as well as the need to have trusted adults in their lives.” The statement underscores the event’s goal of ensuring that students not only learn peaceful behaviors but also build meaningful relationships with mentors who can guide them toward positive choices.
Throughout the day, students will engage in hands-on activities that encourage teamwork and self-expression. The peace walk, a highlight of the event, will bring participants together in a united display of solidarity and hope. The lively band performances will serve as a reminder that art and music can be powerful tools for connection and understanding.
SAVE Promise Clubs, a key part of the rally, have become an essential force in promoting nonviolence across Broward County schools. These student-led clubs empower youth to take ownership of their school culture by organizing events, campaigns, and service projects that encourage inclusion and empathy. By taking the lead in these efforts, students demonstrate that peace is not just an idea—it’s a practice that begins in classrooms, hallways, and local communities.
As Broward County continues to focus on youth leadership and community partnerships, the 2025 Peace365 SAVE Rally stands as a shining example of what can happen when students are given the tools and encouragement to create positive change. From Lauderhill to classrooms across the district, the message is clear: peace begins with young people who care enough to lead the way.
