Broward Sheriff’s Office detectives are asking for public help in locating missing 51-year-old Carol Boyd from Margate
Broward County, Florida – Broward Sheriff’s Office detectives are asking the public for help in locating 51-year-old Carol Boyd, who was last seen nearly two weeks ago in Margate. Authorities say Boyd went missing around 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, October 28, in the 500 block of West Atlantic Boulevard, sparking a search by law enforcement and concern from her family and community.
Boyd is described as 5 feet, 4 inches tall and weighing approximately 140 pounds. She has brown hair and hazel eyes, and she is known to have a tattoo of a three-leaf clover on her left wrist, which may help identify her. Law enforcement is asking anyone who might have seen Boyd or has any information regarding her whereabouts to come forward immediately.
Her family has indicated that Boyd experiences mental illness, making her well-being a matter of particular concern. Detectives say it is critical to locate her quickly to ensure she receives any necessary care and support.
“The community’s assistance is invaluable in cases like this,” a BSO spokesperson said. “We urge anyone who may have seen Carol Boyd or who has information to reach out to us as soon as possible.”
Detective Leonard Charla of the Broward Sheriff’s Office is leading the investigation into Boyd’s disappearance. Anyone with information is asked to contact him directly at 954-321-4274. Additionally, tips can be submitted through the BSO non-emergency number at 954-764-HELP (4357).
Authorities are reviewing surveillance footage, speaking with neighbors, and following up on leads as the search continues. The Broward Sheriff’s Office stresses that even seemingly small details could prove crucial in locating Boyd and ensuring her safety.
Family, friends, and community members are closely monitoring developments, hoping for her safe return. Law enforcement continues to urge anyone in the Margate area or surrounding communities to remain vigilant and report any sightings.
As the search continues, the Broward Sheriff’s Office reminds residents that collaboration between the public and law enforcement can make a significant difference in missing person cases. Carol Boyd’s safe return remains the top priority for detectives and her loved ones alike.
