Registration is now open for the Pines Light Up the Night 5K Run 2026 in Pembroke Pines for participants of all ages

Pembroke Pines, Florida – The City of Pembroke Pines is inviting runners, walkers, and families to lace up for a night of fun, fitness, and community as the Pines Light Up the Night 5K Run returns for 2026. Scheduled for February 28, 2026, at 6:30 p.m., the neon-themed evening race will take place at West Pines Soccer Park, located at 350 SW 196th Avenue, promising a colorful and energetic experience for participants of all ages.

The 5K run is more than just a race—it’s a celebration of community spirit and a chance to support a meaningful cause. Proceeds from the event benefit the Pembroke Pines Charter Schools Foundation, helping to provide additional educational resources, programs, and opportunities for students across the city. With glowing lights, music, and cheering spectators, the race transforms the park into a lively spectacle that combines fitness and fun under the stars.

Registration for the 2026 Pines Light Up the Night 5K Run is officially open, and organizers are encouraging everyone to secure their spot early. Fees are structured to reward early sign-ups, with registration costing $40 from now through January 11, $50 from January 12 to February 27, and $60 on race day. “Whether you’re running, walking, or cheering from the sidelines, it’s the perfect way to enjoy fitness, family fun, and community pride under the stars,” city officials said.
