Broward County, Florida – Glades Middle School will turn its gymnasium into a magical Winter Wonderland on Thursday, December 18, 2025, offering a festive celebration for students and the community. The event is expected to host approximately 150 Exceptional Student Education (ESE) students from seven district schools, including Glades Middle and six elementary schools in the Everglades Zone. Local officials, community leaders, and members of the City of Miramar Police and Fire Rescue Department will also participate, creating a memorable experience for everyone involved.

From 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., the school’s gymnasium will be filled with holiday decorations, festive treats, and interactive activities designed to spread cheer. Students will have the chance to meet Santa, Frosty the Snowman, and other holiday favorites, creating opportunities for photos and videos that families will cherish for years to come. The whimsical ride-along train will provide a fun and imaginative experience, giving students a chance to enjoy the holiday spirit in motion.

These activities are designed to engage students of all ages, encouraging creativity, teamwork, and enjoyment. Gift giveaways, sponsored by Miramar’s Fire Rescue and Police Department, will provide special surprises for attendees, adding an extra touch of holiday magic to the day.

The event highlights the strong partnership between schools and the wider community. By bringing together students, educators, and local public safety officials, the celebration emphasizes the importance of shared experiences and the joy of giving. It also provides an opportunity for students to feel connected and celebrated during the holiday season.

“The Winter Wonderland event celebration brings students, schools and community partners together to share joy and holiday cheer,” organizers noted. By focusing on community engagement and inclusivity, Glades Middle School aims to make this event more than just a holiday party—it is a meaningful gathering that fosters a sense of belonging and celebration among students who may not always have the opportunity to participate in large festive events.
