Fort Lauderdale, Florida – The City of Fort Lauderdale has issued a traffic advisory ahead of the Visit Lauderdale Food & Wine Festival, scheduled to take place January 22 through 25 at Las Olas Oceanside Park, 3000 E. Las Olas Boulevard. The annual festival, which celebrates the city’s culinary scene with food, wine, and entertainment, is expected to draw large crowds, prompting officials to alert drivers to potential delays and closures.

According to the advisory, E. Las Olas Boulevard will be closed from A1A to Seabreeze Boulevard beginning at 8 a.m. on Friday, January 23, and continuing through 9 p.m. on Sunday, January 25. Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead, as the closure is expected to create congestion in surrounding areas. While alternative routes are available, drivers should anticipate slower travel times and exercise patience when navigating near the festival grounds.

“This annual event draws both locals and visitors, and it’s important for everyone to be aware of the traffic changes so they can plan accordingly,” said a city spokesperson. “We appreciate the public’s cooperation in helping make the festival safe and enjoyable for everyone.”

The festival itself promises a weekend of culinary exploration, featuring tastings, cooking demonstrations, and live entertainment along Fort Lauderdale’s scenic waterfront. While the street closures may temporarily disrupt normal traffic flow, officials stress that the measures are necessary to ensure public safety and provide adequate space for festival activities.

Event organizers recommend that attendees consider rideshare services, public transportation, or alternative parking locations to minimize congestion and make access to the festival easier. Signage and city personnel will be on site to assist drivers, pedestrians, and cyclists throughout the event.
