Fort Lauderdale to resurface and improve the boat ramp at Riverland Woods Park for safer community access
Fort Lauderdale, Florida – The City of Fort Lauderdale is set to improve access and safety at Riverland Woods Park with a short-term boat ramp resurfacing project. Working alongside M & M Asphalt Maintenance Inc., city crews will be milling and resurfacing the existing asphalt and adding fresh pavement markings to enhance usability for boaters and visitors.
Construction is scheduled to begin on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, and is expected to conclude the following day, Wednesday, March 4, 2026. Work will occur daily between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m., though officials note the timeline could shift in the event of inclement weather or other unforeseen delays.
During construction, the boat ramp at Riverland Woods Park in Lauderdale Isles will be temporarily closed. Residents and park visitors are asked to follow posted signage and exercise caution while traveling through the area. The city also apologized in advance for any inconvenience the project may cause and thanked neighbors for their patience.
City officials say the improvements will provide a smoother, safer surface for vehicles launching boats, as well as clearer guidance through new pavement markings. The effort is part of ongoing maintenance to ensure city recreational facilities remain accessible and safe for the community.
For additional information or questions about the project, residents can contact Winzer King, Project Manager II for the City of Fort Lauderdale, at 954-828-6195 or via email at [email protected]. The City’s Neighbor Service Center is also available at 954-828-8000 or [email protected].
With this short but important project, the city aims to improve both safety and convenience for park users, ensuring the Riverland Woods Park boat ramp continues to serve Lauderdale Isles residents effectively for years to come.
