Davie, Florida – The Davie Pine Island Fitness and Aquatic Center will temporarily close its pool for essential repairs and maintenance, officials announced. The closure is scheduled to begin Monday, April 6, and continue through Sunday, April 19, 2026. During this period, residents and members will not have access to the aquatic facility, as the staff undertakes necessary work to maintain safety and operational standards.
The pool at 3800 SW 92nd Avenue has long been a popular spot for residents of Davie and surrounding areas, offering recreational swimming, exercise programs, and community events. In order to ensure the continued safety and enjoyment of all users, maintenance and repairs are required periodically. Town officials emphasized that the temporary closure is a standard procedure to prevent any safety hazards and to extend the pool’s service life.
“We understand the inconvenience this may cause and sincerely apologize for any disruptions,” the Parks, Recreation and Cultural Arts department stated. While the pool will be unavailable, the Fitness Center at the facility will remain fully open and operational. Members are encouraged to make use of the gym and its state-of-the-art exercise equipment during the pool closure.
The center offers a wide range of fitness equipment, from cardio machines to weight training stations, providing members with options to continue their workout routines without interruption. Staff at the center will be available to assist members in adjusting their fitness plans and to answer any questions about the temporary pool closure.
For residents or members seeking additional information regarding the closure, the town has provided several points of contact. Inquiries can be directed to the Parks, Recreation and Cultural Arts team at 954-797-3926. Media contacts for further information include Leona Henry, Development Administrator, Ariana Briceño, Public Information Specialist, and Camryn Tippetts, Public Relations Coordinator. Each can provide updates on the status of the repairs or answer questions about membership options during the maintenance period.
The town of Davie encourages residents to plan accordingly and consider alternative swimming options in the area while the pool is closed. Once maintenance and repairs are completed, the aquatic center will reopen, resuming regular operations and offering a safe, refreshed environment for community members.
The temporary closure reflects the center’s commitment to safety, quality, and providing a reliable recreational space for all residents. Patrons are reminded that while the pool is closed, the fitness facilities remain fully accessible, ensuring continuity in members’ health and wellness routines.
