Pembroke Pines, Florida – The City of Pembroke Pines is preparing to turn a summer evening into a full cultural showcase with the return of its annual Caribbean American Heritage Festival, a free community event designed to highlight music, food, and traditions from across the Caribbean.

The festival will take place on Saturday, June 27, 2026, from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. at the Charles F. Dodge City Center, located at 601 City Center Way. City officials say the event is open to all ages and is intended to bring residents together through cultural celebration and shared experiences.

Organizers describe the festival as a vibrant mix of live entertainment, cultural displays, and interactive activities. The event is sponsored by Dade County Federal Credit Union, helping make it accessible to families and visitors who want to experience Caribbean heritage without cost.

This year’s lineup features a wide range of live performances representing different musical styles from the Caribbean region. Reggae, Soca, and Kompa rhythms will fill the venue throughout the night, creating a continuous flow of sound and energy for attendees.

Headlining the event is Wayne Wonder, who is expected to close the night with a full live band performance. Known for his smooth vocals and popular hits, his appearance is set to be one of the main highlights of the festival. Joining him will be Tricia Kelshall, bringing high-energy Soca vibes, and Devine Songz, delivering a live band performance aimed at keeping the crowd engaged from start to finish.

The entertainment schedule also includes MC Niki Crosby and DJ T-Rex, who will help maintain momentum throughout the evening with music, crowd interaction, and transitions between performances. Organizers say their role is to keep the atmosphere active and flowing across all hours of the festival.

Adding to the cultural experience, the USVI Moko Jumbies will perform, bringing traditional stilt-walking artistry and dynamic crowd engagement. Their presence is expected to add a strong visual and cultural dimension to the celebration.

Music lovers will also hear from the Lauderhill Steel Ensemble, a live steel band performance that will showcase the distinct sound of Caribbean steelpan music, an essential part of the region’s musical identity.

Beyond the stage, the festival will also feature authentic Caribbean cuisine, cultural exhibits, and showcases of traditional dry goods. Visitors will be able to explore flavors and crafts that reflect the diversity of Caribbean heritage, from food stalls to cultural displays that highlight history and tradition.

Families attending the event will also find hands-on activities. The Island Space Caribbean Museum will present a family-friendly arts and crafts area, giving children and adults a chance to participate in creative projects inspired by Caribbean culture.

City officials emphasize that the festival is designed not only as entertainment but also as a cultural gathering that reflects the diversity of Pembroke Pines and surrounding communities. By bringing together music, food, and heritage in one space, organizers hope to create an atmosphere where residents can connect and celebrate shared traditions.

As the date approaches, anticipation is building for what is expected to be a lively summer night filled with rhythm, color, and community energy.
