Pompano Beach City Commission takes annual August hiatus before September meetings resume

Pompano Beach, Florida – The Pompano Beach City Commission will take a temporary break during the month of August as part of its annual summer hiatus, with regular commission meetings scheduled to return in September.

City officials announced that the monthly pause is part of the commission’s yearly summer break and will allow members and staff to take time away before the regular meeting schedule resumes. The next City Commission meeting is scheduled for September 8, 2026, at 1 p.m.

Although meetings will not be held during the August hiatus, residents can continue staying informed about city activities and upcoming decisions through the City of Pompano Beach’s online resources.

City Commission meetings are available for residents to watch live through Channel 78, the City of Pompano Beach YouTube Channel, and the city’s official meeting streaming page. The online broadcasts allow community members to follow discussions, decisions, and important issues even if they cannot attend meetings in person.

City officials encouraged residents to remain engaged and continue following local government updates throughout the summer break.
