Fort Lauderdale United FC names Weston YMCA Family Center as recipient of $9,990 donation through Gainbridge Savings Tracker program

Fort Lauderdale, Florida – Fort Lauderdale United FC is set to recognize the Weston YMCA Family Center with a $9,990 donation through the Gainbridge Savings Tracker program, bringing together the local women’s soccer team, a community organization and a campaign designed to support nonprofits across the league’s communities.

The check presentation will take place Tuesday, August 25, at 4 p.m. at the Weston YMCA Family Center at 20200 Saddle Club Road in Weston. Several Fort Lauderdale United FC players are expected to attend, including goalkeeper Haley Craig.

Players and representatives from Fort Lauderdale United FC, the YMCA of South Florida and Gainbridge will be available for interviews following the presentation.

The donation is part of the 2026 Gainbridge Super League season and is tied directly to goalkeeper performances on the field. Through the Gainbridge Savings Tracker, each save made by a goalkeeper during league play generates a $99 contribution to a nonprofit selected by that team’s organization.

For Fort Lauderdale United FC, the Weston YMCA Family Center was selected to receive the money generated through the team’s saves. The program gives an ordinary moment during a soccer match — a goalkeeper stopping a shot — an additional purpose away from the field.

The Savings Tracker was created through a partnership between Gainbridge and U.S. Women’s National Team legend Briana Scurry. The initiative is designed to provide financial support to local nonprofit organizations connected to communities where Gainbridge Super League teams play.

The Weston YMCA Family Center is part of the YMCA of South Florida and serves as a community resource for people of different ages. Its programs focus on helping children, families and adults stay active, develop new skills and build connections within the community.

The center offers a broad range of services and activities. These include youth sports, swimming and other aquatics programs, afterschool care, summer camps, health and wellness programs, group exercise, family activities and community events.

The $9,990 contribution will provide additional support for the center as it continues serving families in Weston and nearby communities. While the donation comes from a soccer-related initiative, its impact will extend beyond the playing field and into programs used by local residents.

Goalkeeper Haley Craig and three other Fort Lauderdale United FC players will attend the presentation. Representatives from the club, the YMCA of South Florida and Gainbridge will also be present.
