Garfield Garage construction project set to begin October 1 while garage remains open to the public

Hollywood, Florida – Construction work at Garfield Garage is scheduled to begin October 1 as part of an ongoing improvement project.

The work will take place in phases, with portions of the garage temporarily affected as construction progresses. Despite the activity, Garfield Garage will remain open to the public throughout the project.

Officials expect the impact on parking availability to be limited. Small sections of the garage may need to close temporarily during different stages of the work, but most parking areas will continue to be accessible.

Drivers using the garage should also be prepared for construction-related noise, particularly during regular business hours. The noise is expected to be associated with the work taking place at the facility.

For people who need another place to park while portions of Garfield Garage are affected, Nebraska Garage will be available as an alternative option.

The project is part of ongoing improvements at Garfield Garage, although no additional details about the specific construction work were provided in the announcement.

Because the garage will remain open, visitors are not expected to lose access to the facility entirely during construction. Instead, parking areas may shift as crews move through different sections of the project.

The temporary closures are expected to be limited to smaller areas, helping reduce the effect on overall parking availability. Drivers may nevertheless want to allow extra time or consider Nebraska Garage if their usual parking area is temporarily unavailable.

Construction is scheduled to start Wednesday, October 1, with work continuing as the improvement project moves forward.

Those using Garfield Garage during the construction period are being asked to be patient while the work is completed. The project may bring some temporary changes to parking and additional noise during the day, but the garage will continue serving the public throughout the work.

The availability of Nebraska Garage gives drivers another option if construction activity makes parking at Garfield Garage less convenient at certain times.

The announcement did not provide a projected completion date for the project. For now, the main change for visitors will be the presence of construction activity beginning October 1, along with occasional temporary closures in small sections of the garage.

Drivers can continue using Garfield Garage during the project while keeping in mind that conditions may change from one phase of construction to another.
