West Palm Beach celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month with two nights of free music, dancing, food and cultural entertainment

West Palm Beach, Florida – West Palm Beach is preparing for two evenings of music, dancing, food and cultural experiences as the city celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month with special events on Sept. 24 and 25.

The City of West Palm Beach will bring Hispanic Heritage Month programming to two of its regular community event series, giving residents and visitors two consecutive opportunities to enjoy free, family-friendly entertainment. The celebrations will take place during Clematis by Night on Thursday and Nights in Northwood on Friday.

The first event is scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 24, when Clematis by Night will host a Hispanic Heritage Month celebration along the downtown waterfront at 100 N. Clematis St. The event will run from 6 to 9 p.m.

Music will be a major part of the evening, with Luis Manuel & The Charambo Band performing salsa. Guests will also have opportunities to take part in Latin dance lessons, play dominoes and test their knowledge with trivia.

Food will be another part of the celebration, with Latin food offerings available during the event. Local nonprofits will also be present, giving visitors another way to connect with organizations working in the community.

The celebration will continue the following evening, Friday, Sept. 25, when Nights in Northwood brings Hispanic Heritage Month activities to Northwood Road. The event will also run from 6 to 9 p.m.

Northwood Village will provide a different setting for the second night of the celebration. Visitors can enjoy Latin-inspired entertainment while exploring the restaurants, shops and other businesses that make the neighborhood distinctive.

Latin dance lessons and domino tables will once again be part of the evening. The city is also highlighting the opportunity for residents and visitors to support local businesses and organizations while enjoying the festivities.

“Hispanic Heritage Month is an opportunity to recognize the many cultures, traditions, and contributions that enrich our community,” said Mayor Keith A. James. “Our award-winning Community Events Division consistently creates opportunities to bring our community together through music, food, and shared experiences while celebrating the diversity that helps make West Palm Beach such a vibrant city. We hope everyone will make time to enjoy one or both of these special-edition events in honor of Hispanic Heritage Month.”

The two-night format allows the city to bring the celebration to two different areas of West Palm Beach. Thursday’s event will center on the downtown waterfront, while Friday’s activities will take place in Northwood Village.

Organizers say both events are intended to highlight the influence of Hispanic communities throughout South Florida through music, dance, food and other cultural experiences.

“Hispanic culture is woven into the fabric of West Palm Beach,” said Angela Poco, Marketing and Community Events Manager for the City of West Palm Beach. “We’re excited to create spaces where people can gather, enjoy incredible entertainment and support local businesses and organizations.”

For families, the events offer several ways to participate rather than simply watch performances. Visitors can learn Latin dances, play dominoes, listen to live music, sample food and explore the surrounding areas.

The city is also using its established event series to expand opportunities for residents to experience local Hispanic culture. By incorporating Hispanic Heritage Month programming into Clematis by Night and Nights in Northwood, officials are bringing the celebration into two popular community settings.

Both events are free, making them accessible to residents and visitors looking for an evening of entertainment without an admission fee. The city is encouraging people to attend either night or make plans to experience both.

Thursday’s Clematis by Night will offer a waterfront setting with salsa music and cultural activities, while Friday’s Nights in Northwood will bring the celebration to Northwood Road and its collection of local restaurants and shops.

Together, the two evenings will highlight the city’s Hispanic Heritage Month celebrations while giving the public a chance to gather, enjoy live entertainment and experience different parts of West Palm Beach.
