Nation’s No. 1 Best Farmers Market returns to West Palm Beach for its 32nd season with global flavors and local vendors
West Palm Beach, Florida – The West Palm Beach GreenMarket is returning to the city’s waterfront this weekend, opening its 32nd season with a celebration of food, culture, small businesses and traditions from around the world.
The popular Saturday market will reopen on October 3, bringing vendors, residents and visitors to the Great Lawn at 100 N. Clematis Street. The market will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., with an official opening day ceremony scheduled for 10 a.m.
This year’s theme is “The World, Right Here,” a nod to the wide range of international products, flavors and traditions represented at the market. Vendors from more than 20 countries are expected to take part, with offerings connected to Europe, Latin America, the Caribbean, Asia and other parts of the world.
The opening marks another season for an event that has become a regular Saturday tradition in downtown West Palm Beach. On an average weekend, between 10,000 and 15,000 people visit the GreenMarket, making it one of the city’s most popular weekly attractions.
The market is also returning with a notable national distinction. Earlier this year, the West Palm Beach GreenMarket reclaimed the No. 1 position in the annual USA TODAY 10Best “Best Farmers Market” Readers’ Choice poll.
That recognition adds to a record that has already made the market stand out nationally. It is the only farmers market in the United States to hold the top position for three consecutive years, having ranked No. 1 in 2021, 2022 and 2023.
For visitors, however, the appeal of the GreenMarket extends well beyond its national ranking. The waterfront event brings together a large collection of small businesses and gives shoppers the opportunity to find everything from everyday food items to specialty products.
Fresh produce will be available alongside baked goods, coffee and tea, plants, flowers and spices. Vendors will also offer specialty foods, home décor, pet products, health and wellness items and other goods.
The City of West Palm Beach is welcoming five new vendors for the 2026 season. At the same time, four longtime participants are being recognized for reaching Legacy Vendor status after taking part in the market for more than 15 years.
That mix of new and familiar faces is part of what gives the GreenMarket its changing but recognizable character. Regular visitors can return to vendors they know while also discovering new products and businesses.
Food is expected to remain a major attraction, with shoppers able to sample products and flavors from different parts of the world without leaving the West Palm Beach waterfront. The international theme will be visible in vendor displays and specialty foods throughout the market.
There will be more to do than shop, too. Live music will be part of the Saturday experience, while weekly workshops will offer additional activities for visitors. Families can spend the morning exploring the market before relaxing along the waterfront.
The event is designed for people of all ages, including families, residents and visitors. Dogs on short leashes are also expected to join their owners at the market, adding to the casual atmosphere of the weekly gathering.
The setting itself has become an important part of the GreenMarket experience. Vendors and shoppers gather near the waterfront, with the city’s downtown surroundings providing a backdrop for the market’s food, music and colorful displays.
For those planning to attend the opening day, parking will be available in several city public garages, including Clematis, Banyan, City Center, Sapodilla and Evernia.
The City Center, Clematis and Sapodilla garages will be free during market hours. The Banyan and Evernia garages are located closer to the event and will be subject to the city’s weekend flat rate.
The GreenMarket’s return also provides a boost to the small businesses that participate each week. With thousands of people visiting on an average Saturday, vendors have an opportunity to meet new customers while continuing relationships with regular shoppers.
The 32nd season comes after years of growth and recognition for the market. Its return to the waterfront is expected to bring the familiar combination of local shopping, international food, live entertainment and community activity that has made the event a long-running West Palm Beach tradition.
The opening day ceremony at 10 a.m. will officially mark the start of the new season. From there, visitors will have several hours to explore the vendors and activities before the market closes at 1:30 p.m.
With its international theme, new vendors and returning longtime businesses, this year’s GreenMarket is set to offer both familiar favorites and something different for visitors who have never attended.
For West Palm Beach residents, the Saturday market is also a chance to support small businesses close to home while spending time outdoors. For visitors, it offers another way to experience the city’s waterfront and downtown.
Additional information about the West Palm Beach GreenMarket, including updates and details for visitors, is available through the City of West Palm Beach. The market will continue each Saturday as the city begins its 32nd season of bringing food, products, music and people together along Clematis Street.
