Pompano Beach Caribbean Fest returns for fifth year with live music, authentic food and family fun

Pompano Beach, Florida – Caribbean music, food and culture will take over Pompano Beach for an evening this fall as the city prepares to welcome back its annual Caribbean Fest.

The 5th Annual Pompano Beach Caribbean Fest is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 17, from 5 to 10 p.m. at Pompano Community Park, located at 1801 NE 6th Street.

Presented by the City of Pompano Beach Parks and Recreation Department, the festival is free to attend and open to the entire family. Organizers are planning an evening built around Caribbean culture, with live performances, authentic food, local vendors and activities in a community festival setting.

Music will be a major part of the celebration, with several performers bringing different Caribbean sounds to the stage.

This year’s event will be headlined by Trinidad and Tobago Soca performer Farmer Nappy and Haitian Kompa band Klass. Together, the two headliners will bring distinct musical traditions from different parts of the Caribbean to Pompano Beach.

Farmer Nappy will add Soca to the festival lineup, while Klass will showcase the Haitian Kompa sound.

The entertainment will not stop with the two headliners.

Reggae Force is also scheduled to perform, along with Paul Anthony & the Reggae Souljahs. The full lineup will give visitors a chance to hear a mix of Soca, Kompa, Reggae and other Caribbean rhythms throughout the evening.

Beyond the stage, Caribbean Fest will offer visitors an opportunity to explore the region’s culture through food, art and locally sold products.

A variety of vendors will be on site with art, crafts and merchandise. Authentic Caribbean dishes will also be available for purchase, adding the flavors of the islands to the evening’s music and entertainment.

Organizers are presenting the festival as a family-friendly event, giving residents and visitors of different ages a chance to experience Caribbean traditions together in the heart of Pompano Beach.

The combination of music, food and vendors is designed to create an island-inspired atmosphere at Pompano Community Park while celebrating the cultural influences of the Caribbean community.

This year’s gathering marks the fifth edition of the event. Admission remains free, allowing visitors to enjoy the scheduled entertainment without purchasing a festival ticket.

The 5th Annual Pompano Beach Caribbean Fest will run from 5 p.m. until 10 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 17, at Pompano Community Park, 1801 NE 6th Street.
