Broward County Public Schools to host college and career fair on October 29
Broward County, Florida – Broward County Public Schools (BCPS) will host its 2026 College and Career Fair on Thursday, October 29, offering students and families an opportunity to explore educational programs, career pathways, and options for life after high school.
The districtwide event will bring together representatives from more than 100 colleges, universities, technical schools, military organizations, and industry partners. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about academic programs, professional training, workforce opportunities, and resources that can help them prepare for their futures.
The fair will take place at Atlantic Technical College’s Arthur Ashe Campus, located at 1701 N.W. 23rd Avenue in Fort Lauderdale.
Two sessions are scheduled to accommodate participants with different schedules. The morning session will run from 9 a.m. until noon, while the evening session will take place from 6 to 8 p.m.

According to BCPS, the event is designed to help students and their families make informed decisions about education and employment opportunities after graduation.
Representatives from participating institutions will provide information about different educational and career pathways, allowing students to explore possibilities that match their interests and long-term goals.
For students considering college, the fair will offer an opportunity to learn more about postsecondary education and the planning involved in pursuing a degree.
Those interested in technical education or entering the workforce can also explore training programs and career opportunities presented by technical schools and industry representatives.
The participation of U.S. military representatives will provide another avenue for students interested in learning about military-related career and educational pathways.

In addition to information about colleges and careers, the event will feature resources related to scholarships, financial aid, and postsecondary planning.
These resources may be particularly useful for families beginning to evaluate the financial considerations associated with higher education.
Students can use the event to compare different pathways, identify programs they may want to investigate further, and develop questions about admission requirements, training opportunities, and future career possibilities.
The fair also reflects the school district’s broader emphasis on preparing students for success beyond the classroom.
By connecting young people with educational institutions and industry representatives, BCPS aims to help participants better understand the choices available after high school and the steps involved in pursuing their goals.
The district has invited students, families, and staff to participate in the October 29 event.
Those interested in attending can find additional information in the official BCPS announcement.
