Broward County, Florida – The Broward County School Board has officially approved substantial salary increases for three key employee groups, marking a major commitment to enhancing the compensation of educators and support staff for the upcoming 2024/25 school year. The approval, which was made during a Special School Board Meeting on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, is part of an investment totaling over $31 million in employee salaries.

The approved salary adjustments will provide an average 3% increase for eligible employees, underscoring the district’s acknowledgment of the vital contributions made by teachers, principals, assistant principals, and educational support staff. These increases are aimed at bolstering the School District’s efforts to retain and attract top talent in the education sector, enhancing the quality of education for Broward County’s students.

The pay raises will affect three key bargaining units: the Broward Teachers Union (BTU) Education Professionals, which represents teachers and other educational professionals; the Broward Principals and Assistants Association (BPAA), which represents school leaders; and the Educational Support Management Association of Broward (ESMAB), which represents essential support and leadership staff within the district.
