Broward County, Florida – Businesses across Broward County have a limited time left to share their input on waste management and recycling practices. The Solid Waste Authority of Broward County (SWA) is conducting a survey to better understand how local businesses handle trash and recycling, with the goal of improving commercial recycling programs and shaping a countywide Solid Waste Management and Recycling Master Plan.

The survey is set to close on April 11, 2025, making this the final opportunity for business owners and managers to participate. SWA urges businesses, including those in Fort Lauderdale, to take just a few minutes to complete the survey and ensure their voices are heard. The feedback collected will play a crucial role in developing more efficient waste management solutions tailored to the needs of local businesses.

Why Business Input Matters

Waste management and recycling impact not only businesses but also the entire community. By participating in the survey, businesses can help SWA identify key challenges and areas for improvement. The data will contribute to strategies that promote sustainability, reduce waste, and enhance recycling efforts across the county.

Whether a business is already engaged in extensive recycling efforts or is looking for better solutions, every response matters. Providing insights on current waste disposal methods, recycling participation, and challenges faced will help SWA design practical and effective waste management policies.

How to Participate

The survey is available online and takes just a few minutes to complete. Business owners and managers can access it in multiple languages, ensuring inclusivity for the diverse business community in Broward County.
