Pompano Beach, Florida – On Tuesday, April 22, the City of Pompano Beach and its Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) will come together for a special Joint Workshop focused on shaping the future of the city’s downtown. The session will run from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and take place in the First Front Meeting Room at the Pompano Beach Cultural Center, located at 50 W. Atlantic Boulevard.

The workshop is set to serve as a key checkpoint in the New Downtown Development Project, a major initiative aimed at transforming the heart of the city. City officials, CRA board members, architects, and staff are expected to participate in a detailed review of design concepts and development plans, with the goal of advancing the next phase of the revitalization process.

Among the topics on the agenda is a presentation from the project’s architects, who will seek feedback from the City Commission and CRA Board on design elements for the proposed new City Hall. The building is considered a central feature of the downtown redevelopment, intended not only to house government services but also to serve as a civic landmark for residents and visitors alike.

In addition to architectural planning, city and CRA staff will present the proposed First Amendment to the Master Development Agreement. This amendment may introduce adjustments or clarifications needed to keep the project moving forward smoothly.

Also expected during the workshop is discussion on a proposed Master Project Resolution. This resolution will cover additional elements being considered for the overall development, such as new public amenities, infrastructure improvements, and possible incentives to support civic facilities and long-term financing strategies.

While no formal votes or decisions will be made during the workshop, the session will play a crucial role in aligning key stakeholders and gathering input that will guide final decisions in upcoming commission meetings.

Community members are encouraged to stay informed about the project, as the New Downtown Development aims to enhance both the function and aesthetic of Pompano Beach’s urban core for generations to come.
