Fort Lauderdale, Florida – UKG, a leading provider of AI-first HR, payroll, and workforce management solutions, has appointed Jim Joudrey as its new Chief Technology Officer. In his new role, Joudrey will lead UKG’s global engineering and cloud organization, overseeing a workforce of more than 4,000 employees. He will also join the company’s executive leadership team and report directly to CEO Jennifer Morgan.

“Jim is a transformational technology leader with a track record of turning bold ideas into products that deliver results for customers,” said Jennifer Morgan. “He joins UKG at a perfect time as we begin the next chapter of our technology story. With his deep expertise, we’ll accelerate innovation and create even greater opportunities for our customers to better understand their workforce and orchestrate how work gets done — driving deeper engagement with their employees and resulting in better experiences, higher productivity, and stronger outcomes. We’re thrilled to welcome him to UKG.”

Joudrey brings more than two decades of experience leading large-scale engineering and technology teams at some of the world’s largest software companies. Most recently, he served as Vice President of Digital Acceleration at Amazon, where he oversaw digital e-commerce operations across more than 40 businesses, including Prime, Prime Video, Audible, Music, Devices, and Games. During his tenure, he played a key role in shaping Amazon’s digital strategy and accelerating innovation across multiple platforms.

Before his time in digital acceleration, Joudrey was Senior Vice President of Analytics Cloud Engineering at Salesforce following its acquisition of Tableau. There, he led Tableau’s cloud migration initiative, helping the company transition its powerful analytics tools to a cloud-based platform that now serves millions of users worldwide. Earlier in his career, Joudrey spent a decade at Amazon in roles spanning core financial systems, marketplace services, and supply chain operations. His work culminated in a leadership position within Amazon Web Services (AWS) Infrastructure, where he directed teams responsible for labor management, data center automation, security, hardware vetting, and monitoring.

As CTO of UKG, Joudrey will be tasked with shaping and executing the company’s technology vision, with a particular focus on advancing UKG’s AI-first platform. The company serves more than 80,000 organizations across 150 countries, including two-thirds of Fortune 1000 companies.
Its solutions are designed to enhance productivity, efficiency, and flexibility for complex workforce operations.

“UKG is on a remarkable trajectory, with the platform, workforce insights, and AI-first strategy to reshape work for organizations around the world,” said Joudrey. “What drew me to UKG is the opportunity to build category leading products that help organizations of all sizes empower their employees and optimize their operations. We are the engine of innovation that drives agility, performance, and better work experiences for tens of millions of workers globally.”

Joudrey succeeds Sri Srinivasan, who has served as interim CTO since 2023. Under Joudrey’s leadership, UKG aims to accelerate product innovation and continue expanding its AI-first capabilities. By leveraging advanced analytics, machine learning, and automation, the company hopes to provide organizations with the tools they need to make smarter workforce decisions and deliver stronger business outcomes.
