The Town of Davie is preparing to celebrate its 100th anniversary with a special centennial event at the Bergeron Rodeo Grounds

Davie, Florida – The Town of Davie is gearing up for a milestone event that promises to be both festive and historic. On Saturday, November 8, 2025, residents will gather at the Bergeron Rodeo Grounds, 4201 Rodeo Way, to commemorate the town’s 100th anniversary since its incorporation in November 1925. The Centennial Celebration, starting at 5:30 p.m., offers a unique opportunity for the community to reflect on a century of history while enjoying an evening packed with entertainment, food, and fun.

This free Western-inspired event is designed exclusively for Davie residents, and pre-registration is required due to limited space. Residents can secure their spot online through the Town of Davie’s WebTrac program or in person at the Pine Island Multipurpose Center. “One ticket will be issued per household for entry. The event ticket will be emailed prior to the event. Tickets are non-transferable and walk-ins will not be permitted,” town officials emphasized, noting that registration closes on Saturday, October 18, 2025.

Evening Highlights and Entertainment

The Centennial Celebration promises a packed schedule of activities for attendees of all ages. Gates open at 5:30 p.m., welcoming registered residents to enjoy a variety of attractions. Live music from the Whiskey County Band will kick off the festivities, setting a lively tone for the evening. At 6:15 p.m., the South Florida Cloggers will perform “Through the Decades,” a dance showcase that traces the evolution of American dance styles, highlighting the town’s rich cultural heritage.

A special moment of the evening is the Centennial Ceremony, scheduled for 6:30 p.m., featuring the Mayor and Town Councilmembers. This ceremony includes the ceremonial closing of a time capsule, offering a symbolic bridge between Davie’s past and its future. The celebration will conclude with a dazzling laser light show at 9 p.m., bringing the evening to a memorable close under the night sky.

Activities and Attractions for All Ages

Residents can explore an impressive lineup of activities and attractions. For music lovers, in addition to the Whiskey County Band, saxophonist John Saxx and a live DJ will keep the atmosphere lively throughout the evening. For those with a taste for fun and adventure, mechanical bull rides and 360-degree photobooth stations provide plenty of hands-on excitement. Caricature artists will capture the spirit of the event, and attendees can also enjoy custom hats by Yellow Beehive Custom Hats, adding a unique flair to the evening’s attire.

Food and refreshments are plentiful, including strawberry shortcake by the Davie Woman’s Club Berry Rose Café and complimentary beverages, with a beer garden available for purchase of alcoholic drinks. Residents can also connect with local organizations and learn more about their community through interactive booths hosted by the Old Davie School Historical Museum and Event Venue, the Davie-Cooper City Chamber of Commerce, the Town of Davie Police Department, Davie Fire Rescue, and the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) popcorn stand. Numerous event sponsor booths and town giveaways round out the celebration, ensuring there is something for everyone to enjoy.

Honoring Longtime Residents

As part of the centennial, the Town of Davie will recognize residents who have reached the milestone age of 90 years and older. This tribute highlights the town’s commitment to honoring its community members who have witnessed much of Davie’s growth over the decades. “In recognition of Davie’s 100th year anniversary, the Town will be honoring residents who have reached the milestone age of 90 years and older at the Centennial Celebration on November 8, 2025,” officials noted. Residents or family members wishing to submit nominations can do so through the town’s website, with applications due by October 24, 2025, at 11:59 p.m.

Sponsorship and Community Engagement

The centennial also offers an opportunity for local businesses and organizations to participate in history in the making. The town is actively seeking sponsors for the event, which allows businesses to engage directly with the community by hosting a table or booth and gaining significant brand exposure.
