City of Pompano Beach set to begin construction on a new beach concession kiosk and expanded public restrooms to enhance the visitor experience

Pompano Beach, Florida – The City of Pompano Beach is moving forward with a project designed to make its popular shoreline even more inviting. Beginning Tuesday, October 21, 2025, construction will officially start on a new beach concession kiosk and expanded public restrooms located at 20 N. Pompano Beach Boulevard. City officials expect the project to be completed by Spring 2026.

This long-awaited improvement aims to elevate the beachfront experience for both residents and visitors. The redesigned concession area will include outdoor seating, a larger food preparation space, and significantly expanded restroom facilities—a welcome upgrade for one of South Florida’s most frequented beach destinations.

Once the project is finished, the new concession kiosk will open daily, serving a wide selection of refreshments and light meals. The menu will include coffee drinks, pastries, and sandwiches for breakfast, alongside Greek-themed dishes, hot dogs, hamburgers, and other affordable grab-and-go favorites perfect for beachgoers looking for a quick bite between swims.

City officials emphasized that the goal is to enhance convenience and comfort while preserving the natural beauty and accessibility of the beachfront. “We are committed to enhancing our beachfront amenities and providing a welcoming, accessible space for everyone to enjoy,” said Mayor Rex Hardin. “We appreciate the community’s patience and cooperation as we work to improve this important public facility.”

During the construction period, some areas near the site may experience temporary closures or reduced access, and visitors might notice minor disruptions. The city has urged the public to remain patient as crews complete the upgrades, assuring that the short-term inconvenience will lead to long-term benefits for the entire community.

The new development aligns with Pompano Beach’s broader revitalization efforts, which have focused on improving public spaces, parks, and coastal infrastructure over the past few years. With growing tourism and a steady increase in local beach visitors, the addition of expanded facilities has become a timely and necessary enhancement.

When completed, the upgraded concession and restroom area will not only serve as a modern amenity but also as a gathering spot for families, tourists, and residents to enjoy the sun, sand, and sea with added comfort.

By Spring 2026, beachgoers can look forward to a refreshed and more accommodating waterfront experience—one that reflects Pompano Beach’s continued commitment to community growth, accessibility, and enjoyment for all.
