Pembroke Pines, Florida – Residents of Pembroke Pines now have a new way to stay informed about what is happening in their community, as city officials have officially launched a mass notification platform designed to deliver fast updates on public safety and city services.

The system, known as Alert Pembroke Pines, was introduced on June 16, 2026, as part of the city’s effort to strengthen communication during emergencies and everyday disruptions. Officials say the goal is simple: keep residents informed in real time, whether the issue is urgent or routine.

The new service can send alerts directly to residents through phone calls, email, and text messages. This allows the city to quickly share information during critical incidents such as emergencies, helping people respond more effectively and stay safe.

At the same time, the system is not limited to emergencies alone. Through an opt-in feature, residents can also choose to receive updates on non-life-threatening situations. These include utility outages, water main breaks, planned road closures, and even announcements about town hall meetings and other civic events.

City officials emphasize that participation in the program is free. There is no cost for residents who choose to sign up, and the process is designed to be accessible for people of all ages and backgrounds.

According to the city, privacy is also a key part of the system’s structure. The information collected during registration will be used solely by the City of Pembroke Pines for communication purposes. Officials stress that data will not be shared, sold, or distributed to outside vendors or organizations.

The system is powered through a third-party emergency communications provider, and residents who experience difficulties setting up their accounts can reach out for technical support at any time. Assistance is available through Everbridge, which offers 24/7 support services.

For help with account creation or troubleshooting, residents can contact Everbridge Technical Support at 866-436-4911. A live operator service is also available at 877-220-4911 for those who prefer direct assistance.

City leaders say the launch of Alert Pembroke Pines reflects a broader effort to improve transparency and ensure that residents are never left without timely information during important situations. Whether it is a sudden emergency or a planned service interruption, officials believe the system will help strengthen trust and communication between the city and the community.

Residents are encouraged to sign up online and activate notifications to stay connected. As the city continues to grow, officials say tools like this will play an increasingly important role in keeping people informed and prepared.

In a time when fast communication matters more than ever, Pembroke Pines is aiming to make sure that no important update goes unnoticed.
