Fort Lauderdale, Florida – Fort Lauderdale United FC has officially released its 2026 Gainbridge Super League slate, setting the stage for what is expected to be one of the most closely watched seasons in the club’s short but rapidly evolving history. The announcement came Thursday afternoon in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, as the league prepares for a major structural shift in 2027 that will move the competition to a spring-to-fall calendar.

The 2026 season will act as a transitional year, and with it comes a balanced 14-match schedule for every club. Each team will face every opponent once at home and once on the road, creating a tight, competitive race from the opening weekend in August through the final stretch in late November. The regular season will conclude on November 28, followed by a four-team playoff series that will determine the champion. The final is scheduled for December 12, marking the end of the third Super League season.

For Fort Lauderdale United FC, the path begins at home, and quickly. The club opens its campaign with a two-match homestand at Beyond Bancard Field, a venue that has become central to its growing identity. On August 15, Fort Lauderdale will host in-state rival Sporting JAX in a season opener that already carries early-season weight. Less than two weeks later, on August 28, the team welcomes Brooklyn FC, another matchup expected to draw attention from fans eager to see how the squad performs at the start of a long campaign.

August’s early home stretch offers a sense of stability, but September is where the schedule begins to tighten. The club will face a demanding run that includes four away matches in five outings, a stretch that will test depth, consistency, and resilience. It begins on September 5 with a trip to Carolina Ascent FC, followed by a quick turnaround to face Tampa Bay Sun FC on September 12 in the first Florida Derby of the season.

That rivalry matchup always carries extra intensity, and this year’s early timing only adds to the pressure. After the road trip, Fort Lauderdale returns home on September 18 to host Dallas Trinity FC, briefly resetting before another difficult away sequence begins.

One of the more notable moments of the schedule arrives on September 22, when Fort Lauderdale travels to face DC Power FC in Washington, D.C. The match is set for an 11:00 a.m.

kickoff, the earliest start in franchise history. The club will close out this road-heavy stretch on October 2 with a second meeting against Brooklyn FC, bringing the first half of the season to a close.

As October arrives, the schedule shifts into a rhythm that alternates between home and away fixtures, increasing both travel demands and competitive pressure as playoff positions begin to take shape. Fort Lauderdale returns to Beyond Bancard Field on October 10 to host defending champion Lexington SC, a matchup that immediately stands out as one of the most challenging home fixtures of the season.

Just six days later, on October 16, the club travels to face Sporting JAX once again. The quick turnaround between these two opponents from the previous season adds another layer of familiarity and rivalry tension to the midseason schedule.

On October 22, Fort Lauderdale will be back home for a Thursday night match against Carolina Ascent FC, a fixture that could prove important in the standings as the league begins to separate contenders from the rest of the pack. The team then heads to Texas on November 1 to meet Dallas Trinity FC, marking one of the final long-distance trips of the regular season.

November is expected to be decisive, and Fort Lauderdale’s schedule reflects that reality. The final Florida Derby of the regular season comes on November 6 against Tampa Bay Sun FC, a matchup that could carry significant playoff implications depending on how the standings develop.

A week later, on November 13, the club travels to Lexington SC for its final road match of the campaign, facing the defending champions in what could be a crucial test before the postseason push. The regular season concludes on November 28 at home against DC Power FC, giving Fort Lauderdale a final opportunity to secure positioning in front of its own supporters.

The postseason format remains unchanged from the league’s first two seasons. The top four teams in the standings will advance to the playoffs, beginning December 5, with the winners moving on to the championship final scheduled for December 12. Every match in the league will continue to be streamed live on Peacock, ensuring national access throughout the season.

As anticipation builds, Fort Lauderdale United FC is encouraging fans to prepare for the upcoming campaign, with season ticket interest now open through the club’s official channels. Supporters can register online or follow the club’s social media platforms for ongoing updates, behind-the-scenes content, and matchday information.

With a balanced schedule, multiple rivalry clashes, and a tightly packed race for playoff spots, the 2026 season is shaping up to be a defining chapter for Fort Lauderdale United FC as it continues to establish itself in the Gainbridge Super League landscape.
