Pine Crest student-athlete Julia Hlatki selected to 2026 U.S. Girls’ U15 Youth National Lacrosse Team

Pine Crest, Florida – Pine Crest School student-athlete Julia Hlatki ’30 has earned a place on the 2026 U.S. Girls’ U15 Youth National Lacrosse Team, giving the young athlete an opportunity to compete for the United States against international competition this fall.

Hlatki was among just 24 players from across the country selected for the national team. The roster brings together student-athletes from 10 states, following a selection process that included months of regional identification clinics and a weeklong national combine.

The selection marks an important achievement for Hlatki, who represents Pine Crest’s Upper School. Her place on the national roster comes after a lengthy evaluation process designed to identify some of the country’s top young lacrosse players.

The U.S. Girls’ U15 Youth National Team will have a busy fall schedule, competing in two versions of the sport. Players will take part in traditional field lacrosse as well as Olympic sixes, a faster format featuring fewer players and a smaller playing area.

Hlatki and her teammates will get their first major international test at the Brogden Cup, scheduled for Sept. 25 through 27 at USA Lacrosse headquarters in Sparks, Maryland.

At the tournament, the U.S. team will face players representing Canada and the Haudenosaunee Nationals. The competition will give the young athletes a chance to experience international play while representing the United States on a national stage.

For Hlatki, the opportunity also places her within the broader development system created by USA Lacrosse. The U.S. Youth National Teams are part of the organization’s National Team Development Program, which is designed to help talented young players progress toward the U20 and senior national teams.

Being selected at the U15 level can therefore provide more than a single tournament experience. It introduces players to the expectations of national-team competition and creates an early connection to the development pathway for athletes who hope to continue playing at the highest levels.

With the Brogden Cup approaching later this month, Hlatki will now prepare to join the other members of the U.S. Girls’ U15 team. Her selection gives Pine Crest another reason to celebrate one of its student-athletes while highlighting the opportunities available to young players competing in the sport.
