Broward Sheriff’s Office homicide detectives urgently seeking information regarding a deadly shooting that took place in Lauderdale Lakes

Lauderdale Lakes, Florida – Broward Sheriff’s Office (BSO) homicide detectives are investigating a deadly shooting that took place early Sunday morning in Lauderdale Lakes. The incident occurred around 12:23 a.m. at a house party in the 3000 block of Northwest 35th Street, sending shockwaves through the local community.

According to reports from Broward County Regional Communications, authorities were alerted to the shooting at the party. BSO district deputies and Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue quickly responded to the scene, where they found two men suffering from gunshot wounds outside the residence. Deputies immediately began administering life-saving measures to the victims.

Paramedics arrived shortly after and transported both men to a nearby hospital for treatment. Despite efforts to save him, Antoninne Scotsman, one of the victims, was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at the hospital. The second man, whose injuries were reported as non-life-threatening, was treated and is expected to survive.

BSO’s Homicide Unit detectives were notified and arrived at the scene to launch an investigation. Early findings indicate that an argument between several individuals at the party escalated into gunfire. However, authorities have not yet revealed the full details of the confrontation or the circumstances that led to the fatal shooting. The investigation remains active and ongoing, with detectives working to piece together what happened.
