Lyons Creek Middle School celebrates the grand opening of its newly renovated music and art rooms with a special ribbon-cutting ceremony

Coconut Creek, Florida – Lyons Creek Middle School in Coconut Creek is set to celebrate a significant milestone as it unveils its newly renovated music and art rooms with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. This grand event will bring together Broward County School Board Members, Broward County Public Schools (BCPS) Superintendent, students, staff, local elected officials, and members of the community to witness the school’s dedication to enhancing its educational spaces.

The renovation of these specialized classrooms, a part of the voter-approved SMART Bond program, represents a significant investment in the school’s commitment to providing students with the best possible learning environments. The SMART Bond program, designed to fund campus improvements, is the driving force behind these upgrades. Along with the music and art rooms, the school’s renovation efforts include over $6 million in campus-wide enhancements, such as the replacement of roofs on several buildings.

Lyons Creek Middle School students and staff are particularly excited about the upgrades, which will directly benefit the school’s vibrant arts programs.
