Broward Sheriff’s Office detectives are urgently searching for a missing 76-year-old man from Fort Lauderdale who was last seen on July 14
Broward County, Florida – The Broward Sheriff’s Office (BSO) Missing Persons Unit is urgently seeking the public’s assistance in locating 76-year-old Denzyl McLean, who was reported missing after being last seen on the morning of July 14. McLean, a Fort Lauderdale resident, was last seen around 10 a.m. in the vicinity of the 200 block of Northwest 29th Avenue.
McLean is described as being 5 feet 4 inches tall and weighing approximately 180 pounds. He has gray hair and brown eyes, and was last seen wearing a black t-shirt, gray sweatpants, and black Crocs. A notable detail from his family is that McLean was carrying a brown guitar at the time of his disappearance.
According to detectives, McLean suffers from Alzheimer’s disease and also walks with a noticeable limp. These factors have raised further concerns about his well-being and the urgency of finding him.
BSO detectives are asking anyone with information regarding McLean’s whereabouts to come forward. Detective Leonard Charla is handling the case, and can be reached at 954-321-4274. For those with information outside of business hours, the BSO non-emergency number, 954-764-HELP (4357), is also available for tips.
The public’s help is crucial in this search, and authorities are urging anyone who might have seen McLean or has any information that could aid in his safe return to reach out immediately. As the investigation continues, the Broward Sheriff’s Office remains hopeful that a quick resolution will be found for McLean’s disappearance.
