Tallahassee, Florida – Florida Insurance Commissioner Mike Yaworsky has officially announced the upcoming 2026 OIR Insurance Summit, a high-profile event that will convene regulators, consumer advocates, and insurance industry leaders to examine and shape the future of Florida’s insurance market. The Summit, hosted by the Florida Office of Insurance Regulation (OIR), is scheduled for April 14-15, 2026 in Tallahassee, providing a unique forum for industry executives, actuaries, legal professionals, and government affairs personnel to engage with current trends and explore innovative solutions for the state’s complex insurance environment.

“Florida has one of the most complex insurance markets in the world and our upcoming Insurance Summit will bring together top experts, consumer advocates and regulators to discuss Florida’s evolving market,” said Commissioner Mike Yaworsky. “We have seen great success in Florida’s market recently, and we hope to build on this momentum. Our Summit will be an unparalleled opportunity to engage in additional forward-thinking solutions to stabilize the market, national insurance perspectives, the importance of resiliency, critical oversight components and more. I encourage the industry to save the date and plan to join us this Spring in Tallahassee.”

The Summit promises a comprehensive agenda featuring high-level speakers from OIR who will provide detailed updates on regulatory oversight and transparency initiatives, along with insights into the evolving landscape of Florida’s insurance industry. Attendees will have the chance to explore critical topics such as market stabilization, risk management, and policyholder protections, while gaining perspectives from national insurance regulators across the country.

By bringing together a diverse range of stakeholders, the OIR Insurance Summit aims to foster collaboration and knowledge-sharing among key players in the insurance sector. Industry leaders and legal experts will have the opportunity to engage in discussions on emerging trends, regulatory challenges, and best practices, creating a platform for forward-looking strategies to support Florida’s market resilience.
