Pine Crest Upper School newspaper earns national recognition with Silver Award in digital journalism critique

Pine Crest, Florida – Pine Crest School’s Upper School newspaper, The Paw Print, has received national acclaim after earning a Silver Award from the Columbia Scholastic Press Association (CSPA) in its College/Scholastic Digital News Critique category. The recognition highlights the publication’s excellence in digital journalism and storytelling, setting it apart as one of the nation’s leading student-run newspapers.

The CSPA critique examines student digital publications across the country, offering detailed feedback on a variety of areas, including writing quality, multimedia integration, editorial voice, and overall design. Receiving Silver recognition reflects the high standards maintained by The Paw Print and the dedication of its student contributors. This award celebrates the newspaper’s ability to deliver compelling, informative, and visually engaging content to its readers.

Published monthly at pcpawprint.com, The Paw Print operates as a student-led club with more than 50 contributors. The publication covers a wide range of topics, from news and opinion pieces to culture and campus life, providing a platform for students to express themselves while honing their journalistic skills.
